Ex-Husband Alleges Threat to Swati Maliwal’s Life, Accuses AAP Leader of Complicity

In Short

  • Naveen Jaihind alleges threat to ex-wife Swati Maliwal’s life
  • AAP confirms assault on Maliwal by Delhi CM’s Personal Secretary
  • Naveen accuses Sanjay Singh of being aware of the conspiracy

Naveen Jaihind, the former husband of Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, has raised serious concerns about her safety, alleging that there is a credible threat to her life.

His assertions follow the admission by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding an assault on Maliwal by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Secretary, Bibhav Kumar.

In a video shared on Facebook, Jaihind accused senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh of orchestrating a charade, insinuating that Maliwal’s life is in imminent danger.

He claimed that Maliwal is being intimidated and that the assault on her is part of a larger conspiracy.

Furthermore, Jaihind questioned the authority of Bibhav Kumar, the alleged perpetrator, suggesting that he lacks the capability to act independently.

Expressing skepticism towards Singh’s involvement, Jaihind accused the AAP leader of being complicit in the situation.

He urged Singh to cease his pretense and acknowledge the gravity of the threat faced by Maliwal.

Jaihind’s video message implored Maliwal to speak out against the perpetrators, emphasizing her track record as an advocate for women’s rights.

Earlier today, AAP MP Sanjay Singh confirmed the assault on Maliwal by Bibhav Kumar, condemning the incident and assuring that Kejriwal has taken note of the matter and will initiate appropriate action.

In response, Jaihind called upon Maliwal to break her silence and confront the perpetrators, highlighting her history of advocating for women’s issues.

Meanwhile, the police received a PCR call reporting the assault at the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, although no formal complaint has been lodged by Maliwal as of yet.

This incident unfolds against the backdrop of Maliwal’s divorce from Naveen Jaihind in 2020, where she cited the end of their “fairytale” marriage.

Jaihind, formerly AAP’s convenor for Haryana, has previously accused Maliwal of dishonesty regarding allegations of sexual assault by her father, which Maliwal had publicly disclosed years after their divorce.

As tensions escalate and concerns for Maliwal’s safety mount, the unfolding events underscore the complexities and challenges faced by women in positions of public prominence and advocacy.
