Akash Anand Vows to Continue Fighting for Bhim Mission Despite BSP Sacking

In Short

  • Akash Anand breaks silence after being sacked as BSP national coordinator
  • Calls Mayawati role model for Bahujan community
  • Says will keep fighting ’till my last breath for Bhim Mission’

Akash Anand, in his first remarks following his dismissal as the BSP’s national coordinator by his aunt and party chief Mayawati, expressed unwavering determination to persist in his commitment to the Bhim mission and the upliftment of his community.

Anand, who was previously touted as the future face of the BSP, conveyed his sentiments through a post on X, where he lauded Mayawati as a role model for the Bahujan community.

Asserting the significant strides made by the Bahujan community under Mayawati’s leadership, Anand credited her struggles for empowering the community politically, enabling them to live with dignity and respect.

Addressing Mayawati as the universal leader of the Bahujans, Anand pledged to continue advocating for the Bhim Mission and the welfare of his society until his last breath.

The decision to remove Anand from his position as national coordinator was announced on May 7 by Mayawati, who cited the need for him to attain “maturity” before assuming such a crucial role within the party.

While Anand’s father, Anand Kumar, retains his position in the party, the move came following allegations of model code violation against Anand, leading to the cancellation of several of his rallies.

Anand’s recent fiery rhetoric against the BJP, characterized by labeling the government as “atankwadiyon ki sarkar” (a government of terrorists) during a rally in Sitapur on April 28, attracted attention and controversy.

In his impassioned speech, he criticized the UP government as a “bulldozer government” and likened it to the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, accusing it of neglecting the youth and mistreating the elderly.

Anand’s outspoken criticism of the BJP represents a departure from Mayawati’s usual focus on targeting the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) in her political discourse.

Despite the setbacks and controversies surrounding his dismissal, Anand’s resolve to champion the cause of the Bahujan community remains steadfast, reflecting his enduring commitment to the ideals of the Bhim mission.
