“Comprehensive Overview of Lok Sabha Election Phase 3: Voting Schedule, Key Constituencies, and Candidates”

In the upcoming Lok Sabha Election Phase 3, slated for May 7, 2024, voters across India will engage in the democratic process across 93 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across ten states and union territories.

However, it’s noteworthy that the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir have been rescheduled to May 25 due to connectivity issues. Polling will commence at 7 am and conclude at 5 pm on Tuesday, May 7, with the results expected to be announced on June 4.

The electoral landscape in Phase 3 sees robust participation from various states. Assam features prominently with constituencies such as Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, and Gauhati.

Chhattisgarh witnesses significant electoral activity with constituencies including Sarguja, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Bilaspur, Durg, and Raipur.

Bihar contributes to the democratic process with constituencies like Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Araria, Madhepura, and Khagaria. West Bengal engages in the electoral fray with Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Jangipur, and Murshidabad constituencies.

Goa expresses its democratic voice with North Goa and South Goa constituencies. Gujarat presents a diverse array of constituencies including Kachchh, Banaskantha, Patan, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Surat. Uttar Pradesh, a crucial battleground, features constituencies like Sambhal, Hathras, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, and Firozabad.

Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu also contribute to the electoral mosaic with their respective constituencies, marking another significant phase in India’s democratic exercise.

Over 1,300 candidates are vying for victory in Phase 3, with 120 of them being women. Among the prominent contenders are notable figures like union ministers Amit Shah, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Mansukh Mandaviya, Parshottam Rupala, Pralhad Joshi, and SP Singh Baghel.

Former chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Digvijaya Singh from Madhya Pradesh, as well as Basavaraj Bommai from Karnataka, are actively participating in the electoral process.

Furthermore, several members of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family are engaged in electoral battles in Uttar Pradesh during this phase.
