Congresswoman Lauren Boebert Allegedly Vapes Inside Theater Before Being Ejected

Newly surfaced security footage appears to depict Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) vaping inside a Denver theater during a performance of “Beetlejuice” on Sunday, contradicting previous claims made by her campaign.

The video, first shown by NBC affiliate 9News, captures Boebert in conversation with her guest as she reaches under her seat and puts an object to her mouth, subsequently releasing a cloud of smoke. Additionally, the footage indicates flashes from a phone in Boebert’s hand, suggesting she may have been taking a selfie during the incident.

Following complaints from fellow audience members who accused Boebert and her companion of “vaping, singing, causing a disturbance,” an incident report from the Buell Theater in Denver confirmed that they were escorted out of the show on Sunday. The initial report of the incident was first made by The Denver Post.

Drew Sexton, campaign manager for Boebert, confirmed to the Associated Press that the Congresswoman had indeed been ejected from the theater but vehemently denied any vaping allegations.

Boebert, in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledged her removal from the show but notably did not address the vaping allegations. She stated, “It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud! Everyone should go see it if you get a chance this week and please let me know how it ends!”

As of now, neither Boebert nor her campaign has commented on the newly released security footage, leaving questions surrounding the incident unanswered.

This development adds a new layer of controversy to the incident that has garnered attention in recent days.
