Disney Cruise Line’s upcoming ship, the Treasure, promises a captivating blend of dining, entertainment, and adventure for passengers of all ages.

Florida, USA – Disney Cruise Line is set to launch its latest ship, the Treasure, offering a plethora of dining and entertainment experiences designed to delight passengers of all ages. The cruise line has unveiled an impressive lineup of offerings, emphasizing adventure as the overarching theme, paying homage to Walt Disney’s enduring passion for exploration and travel.

Scheduled to commence sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida, on December 21, 2024, the Treasure will embark on seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, featuring visits to various enchanting destinations.

Appealing to All Ages:

Thomas Mazloum, President of New Experiences Portfolio and Disney Signature Experiences, expressed how Disney Cruise Line caters to travelers of all ages, making it an ideal choice for multigenerational travel. He highlighted the unique aspect of allowing individuals to pursue their interests during the day and reunite for evening activities.

Mazloum noted that the Treasure promises an immersive experience, bringing together an array of Disney storytelling, from classics to Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars, culminating in what he described as the “perfect Disney vacation.”

Here’s a glimpse of what the Treasure will offer:

Dining for Families and Adults:

The Disney Treasure will uphold Disney Cruise Line’s tradition of family dining by rotating passengers through one of three restaurant venues each night, accompanied by the ship’s restaurant service team. The three restaurants in rotation are:

  1. Plaza de Coco: A novel addition to Disney Cruise Line, Plaza de Coco offers a theatrical dining experience themed around Disney and Pixar’s “Coco.” Guests can savor modern interpretations of traditional Mexican cuisine while enjoying live entertainment, including mariachi bands. Two versions of the show will be presented.

  2. Worlds of Marvel: An immersive Marvel-themed dining experience celebrating Avengers characters and stories, with interactions featuring Spider-Man. The shows and dining experiences draw inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, offering two show versions.

  3. 1923: Named after the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios, 1923 is adorned with exploration-themed artwork from classic and contemporary animated films. The menu blends cultural flavors from California, tailored with families in mind.

Apart from the main family restaurants, the Treasure will offer various dining options, including quick-bite venues, casual dining, 24-hour room service, specialty treats, gourmet cafes, and upscale adult dining.

Adult-exclusive dining venues will include Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose, all inspired by iconic elements of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast.”

Adventures for Children:

Children aboard the Treasure will have dedicated spaces and interactive programming tailored to different age groups, from infants and toddlers to tweens and teens. Disney’s Oceaneer Club will immerse them in the worlds of beloved Disney stories, combining physical play and age-appropriate technology, led by Disney-trained counselors.

Key offerings include the Marvel Super Hero Academy, Fairytale Hall, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, and Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck. Teens will have dedicated spaces in Vibe and Edge clubs.

Entertainment Venues:

The Walt Disney Theatre will feature original Broadway-style musical productions exclusive to Disney Cruise Line, including “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.” A third show is planned, details of which are yet to be revealed.

The Grand Hall, inspired by Disney’s “Aladdin,” will serve as a prominent gathering space for shows, character encounters, and musical performances, also drawing inspiration from African and Asian locales.

Sarabi, named after “The Lion King’s” lioness matriarch, will host family daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment, offering games like “Match Your Mate,” “Family Time Game Show,” and “Villains Game Night.”

Hero Zone will provide a sports and recreation venue combining physical challenges with game-show-style competitions. Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will screen first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

Mazloum emphasized Disney’s commitment to reflecting the diversity of its visitors in the offerings aboard the Treasure, aligning with a concerted effort to create an inclusive experience.

AquaMouse Ride, Pools, Spas:

The Treasure’s AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg will be a special-effects water attraction at sea, sending two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the ship below.

The ship’s water-focused district will feature seven pools across tiered decks. A Toy Story-themed district will cater to families with toddlers and young children, while the adult-only Quiet Cove district will offer an infinity pool, poolside bar, and café.

Senses Spa and Senses Fitness will provide passengers with spa treatments, private treatment rooms, spa villas, steam rooms, aromatherapy facilities, and wellness amenities.

Lodging:

The Treasure will offer 1,256 staterooms, including 53 concierge staterooms and 23 concierge suites. Of these, 1,133 will offer ocean views, with 877 featuring verandahs, while 123 will be inside staterooms. For larger groups, connecting doors will be available to facilitate group sailing.

Concierge-level staterooms and suites will grant access to an exclusive concierge lounge and a private sun deck. Themed royal suites will pay tribute to iconic Disney characters, such as Bagheera from “The Jungle Book” and Rajah from “Aladdin.”

Additionally, the Tomorrow Tower Suite, spanning nearly 2,000 square feet and inspired by Disney World’s EPCOT theme park, will offer high-level accommodations with a full kitchen and a private elevator, designed to accommodate up to eight passengers.

With these exciting offerings, Disney Cruise Line’s Treasure is poised to deliver an unforgettable cruise experience when it sets sail in December 2024.
