To support this vision, CM Gupta unveiled a series of ambitious healthcare initiatives:- Construction of 24 new hospitals to expand capacity.
- Addition of over 16,000 hospital beds in the coming years.
- Establishment of 400 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the city to enhance primary healthcare.
- Acceleration of Ayushman Bharat scheme implementation with quick distribution of health cards.
Criticism of Previous Governance
CM Gupta also criticized the former government for mismanagement in the healthcare sector. She cited issues such as:- Chronic staff shortages in public hospitals.
