Bengaluru: A 20-year-old female college student, identified as Prabhudhya, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Bengaluru’s Subramanyapura area, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred on Wednesday night.

Prabhudhya was discovered with her throat slit and cut marks on her hands.

Her brother found her body inside the bathroom, with the backdoor of the house open, and immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene and sent the body for a postmortem examination.

They also recovered a suicide note from the location. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The victim’s mother, Soumya, suspects foul play and believes her daughter was murdered. “I have raised her with so much love.

I am an activist. No matter what happens, she will face it with courage. She will always tell me whatever happens. I don’t know what happened this time. If someone had a grudge, they may have caused this.

I have rescued so many people and questioned so many people. I don’t know what happened to her. I want justice. She’s a courageous girl,” Soumya told India Today TV.

The investigation into the case is ongoing as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding Prabhudhya’s death.
