  • Accuses Congress of trying to weaken the country
  • PM says Congress will take away half of people’s property with inheritance tax

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of advocating for religion-based reservations.

He vehemently criticized the Congress’s stance, labeling it as a betrayal of the principles laid down by Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

PM Modi asserted that the Congress’s endorsement of religion-based quotas directly contradicted the tenets of the Constitution, which explicitly prohibits such discriminatory practices.

He emphasized that Babasaheb Ambedkar himself had vehemently opposed the idea of reservations based on religion. Modi highlighted recent developments in Karnataka, where the Congress allegedly implemented religion-based quotas by including Muslim castes alongside Other Backward Classes (OBCs), thereby encroaching upon a significant portion of reservation meant for the OBC community.

The Prime Minister cautioned against the perils of such divisive tactics, warning that they could jeopardize the future prospects of generations to come.

Accusing the Congress of harboring an agenda to weaken the country, PM Modi cited the party’s refusal to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as evidence of its antipathy towards India’s cultural and religious heritage.

He criticized the Congress for its perceived disdain towards the ideals enshrined in the Constitution, accusing the party of instigating societal discord and pursuing policies detrimental to national unity.

In addition to the issue of religion-based reservations, PM Modi lambasted the Congress over its purported endorsement of inheritance tax, alleging that the party sought to confiscate the assets and rights of individuals and their descendants.

He characterized the proposed tax as an assault on India’s cherished family values, warning that it would deprive hardworking individuals of the opportunity to pass on their wealth to future generations.

Mocking the Congress’s policies, PM Modi derisively summarized the party’s approach as “Congress ki loot, zindage ke sath bhi loot aur zindagi ke baad bhi loot” (Congress’s loot, during your life, and even after your death), implying that the party’s agenda was centered around perpetual exploitation of the populace.
