Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of JanaSena Party (JSP) and a prominent actor-turned-politician in Andhra Pradesh, has experienced a remarkable increase in his assets over the past five years, marking a significant surge of 191%.

This revelation comes from the affidavit he submitted to the Election Commission, shedding light on his financial standing as he vies for the Pithapuram Assembly constituency in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

At 52 years old, Pawan Kalyan emerges as a key candidate representing the JSP-BJP-TDP alliance, bringing considerable attention to his personal wealth dynamics alongside his political ambitions.

According to the disclosed information, Pawan Kalyan, along with his wife and four dependents, now possesses assets valued at Rs 163 crore.

This staggering figure represents a substantial growth from Rs 56 crore, which was reported in 2019, reflecting a noteworthy escalation in his wealth over the intervening period.

Breaking down his assets, movable assets constitute a significant portion, totaling Rs 46 crore. This category encompasses diverse holdings, including substantial deposits and an impressive collection of automobiles valued at Rs 14 crore.

Noteworthy among his possessions are a Harley Davidson bike, a Benz Maybach, a Range Rover Sport valued at Rs 5.4 crore, and a Toyota Cruiser worth Rs 2.3 crore.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan and his family own immovable assets valued at Rs 118 crore, primarily comprising lands and buildings situated in Janwada, Managalgiri, and Jubilee Hills.

The financial disclosures also unveil fluctuations in Pawan Kalyan’s income over the years, with reported losses of Rs 1.1 crore in 2018-19, countered by an income of Rs 12.2 crore in 2022-23.

However, amidst the substantial assets, there are declared liabilities amounting to Rs 65 crore, suggesting a balanced view of his financial status.

Beyond his financial portfolio, Pawan Kalyan’s legal landscape is notable, with eight criminal cases, largely related to provocative speeches, adding a layer of complexity to his political journey.

Undeterred by challenges, the actor-turned-politician officially filed his nomination for the upcoming assembly polls on Tuesday, positioning himself as a significant contender in the political arena.
