Lucknow’s fast-bowler Mayank Yadav delivered a stellar performance in the IPL 2024 match against Bengaluru, securing a significant win for his team by picking up three crucial wickets.

Among them, Yadav singled out the dismissal of Australian all-rounder Cameron Green as particularly special, emphasizing his penchant for clean bowled dismissals.

During the match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Yadav showcased sensational fast-bowling skills, breaking his own record by delivering the fastest ball of the IPL 2024 season, clocking in at 156.7 km/h. His remarkable spell of three wickets for just 14 runs in four overs significantly contributed to Lucknow’s 28-run victory over Bengaluru.

Speaking in an IPL social media video, Yadav expressed his satisfaction with Green’s dismissal, stating his preference for clean bowled dismissals as a fast bowler.

He also credited the aggressive approach of the over to the encouragement from the team captain, who urged him to utilize his pace and attack.

Acknowledging the support of LSG head coach Andy Flower, Yadav highlighted Flower’s guidance and mentorship during his tenure, particularly in handling pressure situations. With six wickets in two matches, Yadav currently ranks second in the race for the Purple Cap.
