John Legend Blocks Niall Horan in Four-Chair Showdown on ‘The Voice’

We all get blocked.” In a poignant moment, Stee revealed that his successful audition was dedicated to his late cousin Matthew, a devoted John Legend fan who passed away just three weeks before Stee’s audition. Stee ultimately chose Legend as his coach, turning the emotional exchange into a full-circle moment.

On the same episode, Gwen Stefani secured a victory over her fellow coaches when she won over Chechi Sarai, a Michigan singer with a remarkable performance of Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You.” Stefani praised Sarai’s unique talent, and despite some playful banter between the coaches, Sarai chose to join Team Gwen.

In another heartwarming moment, country icon Reba McEntire won over singer Mac Royals, an Arkansas native who delivered a beautiful rendition of John Mayer’s “Gravity” with an R&B twist. Royals, who aims to support local artists through his music, connected with McEntire, who offered her signature tater tots, “Reba’s Tots,” as a gesture of goodwill. Despite tempting offers from the other coaches, Royals remained loyal to his childhood icon and chose McEntire as his coach.

Niall Horan, however, experienced a twist of fate when he tried to use his block button on John Legend earlier in the show. Horan’s revenge plan backfired when he lost singer Rudi, a talented vocalist from Texas, to Gwen Stefani. Rudi’s powerful rendition of “You Don’t Own Me” earned Stefani’s admiration, and she convinced Rudi to join her team.
